The United States declared its independence just under 250 years ago and over that time has faced adversity from threats both foreign and domestic. Americans (Mostly), have seen those threats and were able to come together to thwart those who sought to end this great country. However, until now, there has never been a threat so insidious as to be invisible to a large voting block of its citizens. It hides itself as patriotism while simultaneously disregarding the constitution that this country was founded on as well as attempting to dismantle the hallowed institutions that have been the bedrock of this, our great country. The 2024 general election was not about electing any particular candidate but rather to prevent one from being elected and installing an authoritarian regime. We fell short of that goal. The people must stop this existential threat as it moves in now. We aim to avoid airing an angry voice but rather use our words to steer hearts and minds to the truth. We must save democracy today. We must do it today, and always from here on out...but with a kind heart...just like we should feel when we vote.
